November was an exciting month for us here at ChesterGates as we welcomed TWO additional surgery clinicians – one brand new, and one returning!
The returning team member is David Thomson (affectionately known as ‘King Dave’), who left us for pastures new back in June of this year. Fortunately for us, David missed the team too much – so decided to come back!
David is a highly skilled and experienced orthopaedic surgeon who offers a complete orthopaedic service, including hip replacements, in which he has a wealth of experience and success. We are very lucky to get to work with him again – the whole team is very excited about his return.
Our brand new team member is Specialist surgeon, Matthew Smith.
Matthew is an excellent surgeon with a passion for orthopaedics, but also has a wealth of experience in soft tissue surgery. He is able to see patients for all kinds of surgical issues from routine to highly complex, and will help to support our medicine and oncology services when they require a surgeon.
We are very excited to work with Matthew and are very proud he chose to come to ChesterGates!
Matthew and David’s appointments add to our already fantastic surgery team and will mean our hospital is able to accept more surgical referrals and emergencies, exactly when you need us!
