Overview

With a diverse range of expertise within the discipline and access to state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment, we offer advanced solutions tailored to each patient’s needs.

Internal Medicine focuses on diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions in dogs and cats. These include issues such as vomiting, diarrhoea, weight loss, coughing, and sneezing, as well as more complex conditions like anaemia, immune-mediated diseases, and kidney or liver disorders.

Our specialist-led team takes a holistic approach, addressing the whole patient rather than a single organ system. We manage both acute and chronic illnesses and collaborate with other disciplines to support patients with multiple or complex medical problems. With a diverse range of expertise and advanced diagnostic tools, we are committed to providing tailored, high-quality care for every patient.

Who we are

Our Internal Medicine team is led by three board-certified specialists—two diplomates of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA) and one diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM)—as well as an experienced Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

Achieving board certification requires passing rigorous examinations following at least three years of intensive training in an accredited referral centre, ensuring our specialists provide the highest standard of care.

Our clinicians are supported by a skilled team of dedicated and experienced nurses. Our medical nursing team boasts an exceptional level of expertise, with advanced qualifications that reflect their commitment to providing outstanding patient care. Among our team, members hold certifications in Emergency and Critical Care, Advanced Veterinary Nursing, and Medical Nursing, as well as postgraduate degrees in specialised fields such as Applied Animal Welfare and Behaviour. Their dedication ensures that our patients receive the highest standard of support throughout their treatment journey.

What we do

Our multidisciplinary hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, enabling us to perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, often in a minimally invasive way.

Our advanced endoscopy suite allows us to assess and take samples from the gastrointestinal tract, nose, throat, lungs, bladder, and urinary tract using a camera. We can also remove foreign bodies from areas such as the lungs or gut.

We work closely with our on-site first opinion and out-of-hours teams to provide seamless support when specialist input is needed. No matter how a patient enters our care, they will have access to tailored, expert treatment.

Additionally, we collaborate with specialists in anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, surgery, and more to ensure every patient receives holistic and comprehensive care.

What will happen when I come for an appointment?

Your pet’s journey with us begins before your appointment, as we carefully review their medical history from your vet. During your 60-minute consultation, we’ll take the time to understand your pet’s symptoms and perform a thorough examination. Together, we’ll discuss diagnostic and treatment options, explaining the benefits, risks, and costs to ensure the care plan suits your pet’s specific needs.

Whenever possible, we aim to complete investigations on the same day, minimising stress and hospital stays. If hospitalisation is required, our team is fully equipped to provide the necessary care.

After discharge, we’ll guide you through the next steps and work closely with you and your vet to ensure seamless follow-up care. We’re always available for ongoing support and updates, so your pet continues to receive the best possible treatment.
