Endika graduated in 2016 from the University of Valencia. Very early during the degree, his cat had some eye issues that showed him how amazing veterinary ophthalmology was and he knew that his passion was in this discipline. After graduating, Endika completed a rotating internship before working for a few years in different hospitals in Spain. During this time he developed his skills and knowledge within the field of veterinary ophthalmology. He moved to the UK in 2018, and it didn´t take him long to decide that he wanted to become an ophthalmologist; he enrolled on the 3 year BSAVA Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology and passed his examinations in 2021. He was awarded Advanced Practitioner status in ophthalmology in 2023.
Endika launched an ophthalmology referral service at Petmedics, Manchester, where he has been looking after his patients’ eyes for nearly 2 years. He is now developing an ophthalmology service here at Chestergates Veterinary Specialists.
