- BSc (HONS)
Viki began her nursing career in 2006 where she worked in a first opinion hospital whilst studying for a BSc (HONS) in Veterinary Nursing. After qualifying in 2010 Viki became Head Nurse. Viki decided to expand her knowledge and skills into referral nursing, starting at Chestergates Veterinary Specialists in 2011 where she gained a particular interest in medical nursing. Viki also became a tutor at Chestergates Veterinary Nursing School, and gained her post graduate degree in education.
Viki then moved onto the Liverpool University’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital where she continued her passion for medicine as an Oncology nurse working in the chemotherapy and radiotherapy for 3 years before becoming a cardiology nurse for the remainder of her time there.
We are very lucky to have Viki, who has now re-joined us here at Chestergates Veterinary Specialists as a cardiology nurse working alongside Liz Bode. Particular cardiology interests include; interventional procedures, especially pacemakers and ECG’s. Viki is currently studying for a certificate in emergency and critical care and will soon be starting an American qualification, VTS in Cardiology.
