ChesterGates Veterinary Training Centre
ChesterGates has been delivering excellence in Veterinary Nurse training since its establishment in 2009 by Jackie Evans and Joanna McEwen. Based at ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists, students are able to benefit from the extensive range of equipment the hospital possesses, including MRI and hydrotherapy.
The courses are taught by RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) registered veterinary nurses who are working in practice and understand the needs of practice, students learn in small groups which enables us to offer excellent student support and high quality teaching. Students are taught in a dedicated learning space which includes an interactive whiteboard, library and practical equipment including anaesthetic systems and laboratory apparatus.
ChesterGates Veterinary Training Centre is pleased to offer the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing with VetSkill awarding body, this is a two year course, achievement of which enables students to become registered with the RCVS and gain RVN status. Students must be employed in a training practice and hold GCSE’s at grade C or above including english, mathematics and science. Students attend college one day per week, with the rest of the time spent in practice.
