SignVideo service for deaf clients
3rd February 2020
We are delighted to announce a new SignVideo service for our deaf clients who use British Sign Language (BSL).
Deaf BSL users can call us today from our unique practice SignVideo link on our Contact us page.
The free SignVideo service for deaf clients who use British Sign Language (BSL) works using video calls connected to fully qualified BSL interpreters and enables deaf clients to communicate through SignVideo either by calling the referral hospital from home or when they attend the referral hospital for a consultation.
The service is free. To access the service a client will need their own smartphone, computer or device with video and sound and their own data. The service is accessed by clicking on the SignVideo link from the referral hospital contact us page on the website or using the SignVideo app.
Operating hours
SignVideo is an on–demand service, which is not pre-bookable. The service is available in our referral hospitals in England, Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland, from 8.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays. Please note that the SignVideo service operating hours may not cover all referral opening hours. You can check the opening hours on the Contact us page on our website.
Every effort will be made to answer video calls quickly, if there is simultaneous demand, there may be a waiting time.

- A PC or MAC with webcam.
- Browsers: Chrome (PC and Mac), Firefox (PC and Mac), Mac Safari 11, iOS11 Safari and Android 4.0 upwards.
